Baidu OCR can extract text from images, and this guide explains how to activate the service and configure it in TTime

1. Register or log in
Open the official website using the link above.
Log in with an existing account or create a new one.

2. Complete personal identity verification
Baidu Smart Cloud requires identity verification before you can use the service.
1. Open the identity verification page
After logging in, open the identity verification page.
3. Create application
Click here to jump to the application creation page

Enter an application name.
For text recognition services, keep the default Select all option.

Select Personal for the application owner.
Enter a short application description, such as Tool Usage.
Finally, click Create Now.

4. Receive resource package
After activating the service, claim the resource package to receive the free quota.

Select General Scenario OCR
Select General Text Recognition (Standard), General Text Recognition (Standard with Position), General Text Recognition (High Accuracy), and General Text Recognition (High Accuracy with Position).
Finally, click Claim for 0 RMB.
Note:
TTime currently uses the
General Text Recognition (Standard)API by default. We recommend selecting all four options so that other recognition modes remain available if TTime supports them later.According to Baidu Smart Cloud's documentation, the free quota may take time to appear after activation. If the console still reports no quota, try again after 30 minutes.

5. Get the key

In TTime, AppId corresponds to the API Key shown below, and AppKey corresponds to the Secret Key.

Once the credentials are available, open TTime Settings, go to OCR Services, select Baidu OCR, and enter the credentials.
